EXHIBITIONS
AND FAIRS
Exhibitions
and fairs are a very effective marketing tool in case everything is prepared
properly – you have enough nice brochures, an interpreter, local
contacts to refer your prospective students to, an informative website
(preferably in Russian) for future references etc.
Well-organized educational exhibition may bring 2000-3000 (on some exhibitions
up to 5000) contacts with your potential students within 2-3 days.

It is evident that the most effective way to participate in an exhibition
is booking your own stand (especially if you have several agents in this
region), and it may be even more effective in case you arrange a presentation
or a seminar after the exhibition, or in case you offer a competition
or a lottery for potential students.
However this is also the most expensive option, because you have to pay
not only for your stand (from 230$ for a table and
400$ for a 4 meters' booth in St. Petersburg), but for your air
tickets, hotel, visa support etc.
Shared participation
We
offer you another cost-effective option: shared participation in local
exhibitions, when several schools share expenses for renting space (from
150$ per school-participant) and we represent them, distributing
their brochures, preparing Russian language leaflets when necessary, talking
to visitors. The idea it that these schools must not be competitors –
it means that we will never invite schools that offer the same courses
in the same region. For example, if you offer
General English courses in London, you will be the only English language
school from London. Other educational providers represented at the same
exhibitions will never be your competitors – like a college from
Australia, a hotel management school from Switzerland, an English language
school from the USA etc. We will be glad to do everything on your behalf:
to prepare and print smaller
leaflets (1000-3000 copies) in Russian for mass distribution, to talk
to potential students, to hand out your original brochures to visitors
that look like genuine students and seem to be really interested.
Participation in absentia
There is also a different possibility to participate in an exhibition
without renting any space at all – that is to distribute your school’s
materials at the exhibition. Your brochures will be delivered to exhibition
participants, and smaller flyers will be distributed from a special stand.
This is sensible in case you offer specialized courses like English for
Oil industry or Medical English – and we could arrange your participation
in fairs held in the most remote parts of Russia. Personal participation
in such exhibitions would be almost impossible due to long distances,
expensive air tickets etc., while distribution of your school publications
could cost from 50$ a day.
Below is the list of specialized exhibitions
that will take place all over Russia until the end of 2004. For detailed
information on any specific event that might interest you please contact
